Description of Circulon Stainless Steel Universal Steamer Insert with Glass Lid
Steaming is a healthier way to prepare vegetables, reducing the nutrient loss that occurs in boiling. The steamer, made of stainless steel with small holes in the bottom, fits inside a pot, holding food over boiling water, allowing steam to circulate and cook your food. Our universal insert has graduated sides to fit a variety of pans and includes a break-resistant, see-through glass lid that allows you to monitor cooking progress without removing the lid.This 2-3/4-quart steamer is ideal for lightly steaming vegetables or dim sum for four or fish for one. Constructed of brilliant 18/10 stainless steel, it's both durable and attractive. The lid is made of break-resistant glass with a stainless-steel rim, so you can check on your food's progress without lifting the top.
